The Canadian shipping company Federal Atlantic Lakes Lines (FALLINE), established in Montreal in 1960, operates scheduled sailings from Northern Europe to the major Canadian and US ports to the St. Lawrence River and the Great Lakes; to Montreal, Toronto, Hamilton, Cleveland, Toledo, Detroit, Milwaukee and Chicago-Burns Harbor.

The vessels of Fednav - Canada's largest ocean-going dry-bulk ship owning and chartering group - specialise in transporting primarily steel products, as well as project and break-bulk cargoes.
