Steder Group history

The Steder Group B.V. began in 1981 as Karl Steder Rotterdam B.V., a shipping agent and sugar exporter in Rotterdam.

In 1989 Karl Steder Holding B.V. was created through the merger of Karl Steder Rotterdam B.V. with two well-known companies in the area of shipping and logistics: Andreas Hansen B.V. and Husson Huijsman Shipping B.V.

In the course of the last two decades about ten companies have been incorporated in the holding.

In 2006 the various companies were officially transformed to one company with the name Steder Group B.V. to add cohesion to all the activities it comprises.

Steder’s success and growth in the logistics market is due to its spirit of enterprise and the pioneering work achieved in Europe and other areas such as Africa, the Far East and South America. The Group still has plans to expand into new markets and affiliate itself with other companies engaged in similar activities.
